Stop Motion

Stop motion animation is a rather specialised area of expertise. It involves meticulous accuracy and patience, some fairly good modelling skills, and a vivid imagination. An average one minute sequence would probably take a week to produce. This is because each second of movement would involve taking an average of twenty five still pictures and if the animation involved a set with moving props, moving these in sequence in the process.

With this said the outcome can be outstanding. Look at Wallace & Gromit (Produced by Aardman Studios) for proof of that. More and more advertisers are turning to Stop motion animation as the imagery remains in the memory so to does the message it carries .

Here at Anim8 films we strive to include all of these types of skills in our portfolio of work. Our Current Stop motion character is Called “Fiery Fred Airborne Warrior” and has very strong links with the Parachute Regiment. Derived from an original cartoon character of the late sixties Fred represents the very best of Airborne humour. Fred is showing on YouTube on the “Anim8films Channel” why not take a look.
